I’ve been getting increasingly excited to settle down and start building that perfect nest – one that reflects my personality & style, feels lovely to come home to after a holiday, and gives me reason to host fabulous parties.. Something like this
.

In the midst of research, I read an interesting article about a 20-year plan to build a stable of quality furniture.
We’ve been told that things should be “perfect” from the moment we move in. As a result, we may purchase the first thing we see that we can afford, just to fill a space. But if we continue on that road, in 20 years we’ll most likely end up with a mish-mash of furniture and accessories that no longer work, with cheaply made items that must be discarded, and some trendy items that don’t seem to fit anywhere anymore.
Makes you rethink the whole “Ikea it up” idea, no?

In Stockholm – a perfect mix of old & new. On sale for 18 mil Kroners, or 3.6 US.

I can’t sing much or do the robot, but I can forecast their sales, maintain budgets & keep the groupies under control.
All jokes aside, we bought a new tripod today so this picture was taken while we were testing it out. It’s incredible really, what a difference it makes. Now that we have a still camera, we gotta work on staying still for those long exposure shots..

It’s really cool to see how much thought and planning goes into one of these shows. Unfortunately, next to those beautiful girls and long legs, the behind-the-scenes people often go unappreciated.

Paris + beautiful woman; can’t go wrong.
Doesn’t she make you wish you were in Paris right now?

I just finished reading “The Angel’s Game”, and I am feeling absolutely confused. I loved his previous book, “Shadow of the Wind”, and was pleasantly surprised to discover that some of the same elements, themes & Barcelona setting repeat. In most brief of form, The Angel’s Game is about a young writer who gets hired by a Parisian publisher to write a new religious book (like the Bible) for a whopping one hundred thousand francs. In the early 1900′s, that was a lot of money.
Personally, the best thing about this story are Isabella & a few very thought-provoking conversations between the main character and his “boss”, Andreas Corelli.
However, I am now left with way too many unanswered questions. The story started off promising, was interesting and fast-paced all up to the climax, but the ending left me frustrated. What really happened here? Is Corelli the devil, punishing Martin with immortality for not respecting the deal? Anyone?
