Dear drivers of Saskatoon,
I thought my ranting days of your driving skills were over – but apparently not. I believe this is my third, and hopefully my last rant for the year 2009.
When turning left, even though you have a green light, it is recommended that you check for pedestrians. Although a rare occurrence, an occasional person will attempt to cross the street. Do not blindly follow the car in front of you – just because he is a jackass doesn’t mean you must be one too.
Do not talk on your cellphones, or even worse, text your friends about the last night’s episode of Big Brother. Do not apply numerous (and unnecessary) coats of lipstick, or put in your eye contacts (?!).
I understand that this all used to be farmland where you could freely frolic in your beaters, rev your Ford engines and knock over an occasional cow or two. Times have changed, though. Saskatoon is now a multi-cultural city, with a population of nearly quarter of a million people.
Look out for pedestrians, children, cyclists & motorists. Especially do so when you are downtown, on a corner of 2nd Ave and 25th Street. We are not a lower class of citizens. Perhaps we just care about our health, our physique & our environment.
And you – the dude a.k.a. “Little Man Syndrome” who almost killed me today – you can take your big muffler and stick it.

Quit your whining… where we’re from Slav, pedestrians have no right of way. In fact, I prefer it that way.
LOL.
Thanks for having my back, Marko.
